Achieving Radiant Winter Skin



Winter can take a toll on your skin (especially Houston “winter”), but you can obtain a healthy and glowing complexion with a few adjustments to your skincare routine. Here are some simple steps you can take to achieve radiant winter skin:

During winter, the cold weather and low humidity levels can leave your skin dry, irritated, and flaky. Spending time indoors with heaters can further worsen these issues. By understanding these factors, you can adjust your skincare routine accordingly. Another factor to consider here in Houston is the abrupt temperature changes where you can experience the four seasons in one single day! 


The Ideal Routine and Products:


1. Cleanse: Start by using a gentle cleanser that is moisturizing and less drying. I recommend Viktoria DeAnn Balancing Cleanser or Skin Script Rx Pomegranate Cleanser.

4. Moisturize: Choose a rich, nourishing moisturizer with ingredients like shea butter, argan, or jojoba to create a protective barrier and prevent dryness.


5. Protect: Even in winter, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from UV damage. I recommend using the HydroPeptide Solar Defense, a perfect lightweight sunscreen for the winter.





Professional Tips for Radiant Winter Skin:

  • Keep your lips hydrated by using a thick lip balm or lip mask instead of licking them

  • Apply your skincare products immediately after cleansing to lock in moisture

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and consuming hydrating foods

  • Consider adding a brightening serum or vitamin C product to restore radiance

  • Use fragrance-free and hypoallergenic products for sensitive skin
